  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Truck driver accused of being in the US illegally denied bond by Trump administration

A truck driver accused of causing a deadly crash in Florida that killed three people was denied bond Saturday.

Harjinder Singh, a native of India, is at the center of a dispute between the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and California Governor Gavin Newsom over his work permit and driver’s license. Federal officials say Singh was in the U.S. illegally. He faces three state counts of vehicular homicide along with immigration-related charges and is being held in St. Lucie County Jail, where U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a hold on him.

Homeland Security criticized California’s policy of issuing driver’s licenses to people regardless of immigration status, calling it “asinine,” while supporters argue it allows safe travel and access to work and healthcare. Newsom’s office said Singh obtained a work permit during Donald Trump’s presidency, a claim disputed by federal officials. Singh reportedly entered the U.S. illegally from Mexico in 2018.

The crash occurred about 50 miles north of West Palm Beach when Singh made an illegal U-turn on the highway. A minivan in the adjacent lane collided with the truck’s trailer, killing the driver and two passengers. Singh and a passenger in his truck were unharmed. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent Lt. Gov. Jay Collins to California to escort Singh back to Florida on Thursday.
