 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Trump vows no US troops will be deployed to Ukraine after security discussions


President Trump said Tuesday that the United States will not send troops to Ukraine as part of a proposed peace arrangement with Russia. Following meetings with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump indicated that security guarantees for Ukraine would come primarily from European nations, with the U.S. providing support without deploying ground forces.

In an interview, Trump emphasized that no American boots would be stationed on the Ukrainian border, saying, “You have my assurance, and I'm president. I'm just trying to stop people from being killed.” He also suggested that relations between Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin were improving slightly, adding that any resolution would require cooperation between both leaders. Trump reiterated that his focus was on ending the conflict without risking American lives. European countries, he said, would serve as the primary guarantors of Ukraine’s security.
