This piece reflects so many chapters of Michelle and my story, and we’re thrilled that it will be on display in the Hope and Change lobby at the Obama Presidential Center starting this Juneteenth". Njideks Akunyili is the daughter of Dora Akunyili, who was the Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) of Nigeria from 2001 to 2008.  Two Suspected Zimbabwean Thieves Arrested With Stolen Ford Ranger En Route to Zimbabwe


Two suspects were arrested after being found with a stolen Ford Ranger Wildtrak 4x4 worth R800 000, which they were allegedly attempting to smuggle into Zimbabwe.


The vehicle was stolen in the early hours of Friday, 15 August 2025, in the Brooklyn area of Pretoria. Intelligence later revealed that it was being driven towards the Beitbridge border.


The Limpopo Tracking Team, working with several security companies, quickly launched an operation. The vehicle was intercepted on the N1 near Botlokwa, and the suspects, aged between 31 and 44, were arrested on the spot.


The swift action prevented the vehicle from crossing the border. It has since been impounded for further investigation.


The suspects are expected to appear before the Sekgosese Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 18 August 2025.
