 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State.   WAEC Releases 2025 WASSCE Results for School Candidates


The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the release of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates. The announcement was made via a statement posted on X at 12:53 PM WAT on Monday, August 4, 2025.


According to WAEC, candidates who participated in the 2025 WASSCE can now access their results online. “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025,” the statement read.


Candidates are directed to visit the official WAEC result portal at http://waecdirect.org to check their performance. The council advised candidates to ensure they have their examination details ready to log in and view their results.


The release of the 2025 WASSCE results marks a significant milestone for thousands of students across Nigeria and other West African countries, as the results determine eligibility for tertiary education and other academic pursuits.
