Women who don’t wear bra shouldn’t be criticised – Amara Maduka

Actress and adult content creator, Amara Maduka, has lambasted those criticising women for choosing not to wear a bra.

Her reaction comes in the wake of a viral incident on August 10, 2025, involving Comfort Emmanson, a female passenger on an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos. Videos from the incident, which surfaced online, showed Emmanson engaged in a heated confrontation with flight attendants and later with airport security. During the tussle, her breasts became exposed as security personnel forcibly removed her from the aircraft.

Weighing in on the matter, Maduka told Sunday Scoop, “I don’t think anyone should dress with ‘unexpected negative situations’ in mind. I believe you get the essence of whatever you expect for yourself in life. I dress to feel good and confident about myself. It doesn’t matter what anyone things so long as I’m covered up enough to not inconvenience others. As a woman who loves to let her ‘oranges’ hang most times, I get stares from some people, and I sense the judgment, mostly from women. However, I understand it’s not my job to educate everyone, and it’s okay for people to feel how they feel about things they can’t change; like me not wearing a bra. Criticising someone for not wearing a bra is ridiculous. Breasts are part of the female body as God intended. Why would breasts and nipples make anyone uncomfortable? Only a petty person would see something so natural, and feel the need to ‘judge’ it. Meanwhile, women should be appreciated more for their bodies.”
