Knox County Deputies received a 911 call on Friday, August 29th, saying a "woman was being attacked by dogs."
When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered 44-year-old Priscilla Jones suffering from multiple bites wounds. There were no dogs present when deputies arrived due to a neighbor witnessing the attack. The neighbor told deputies he was able to chase the dogs away.
Priscilla was rushed to a nearby hospital where she sadly succumbed to her injuries.
Priscilla's husband believes there is more to the story than just a dog attack. He says the injuries on her arms and legs appear to be the result of an animal attack, but says she suffered other injuries that appear to be from a possible human attacker.
Authorities are investigating the incident and are trying to track down the dogs and their owner. They have been canvassing the neighborhood and checking security cameras. If the owner of the dogs is found, they could face serious charges.
Authorities say they are looking into all aspects of Priscilla's passing.
The Knox County Coroner is performing an autopsy on Priscilla, and more information will be forthcoming.
