 HAJJ 2026: 1600 LAGOS PILGRIMS ARRIVE SAFELY FROM MAKKAH The 1,600 Lagos pilgrims who participated in the just-concluded Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have all arrived safely to join their respective families. The safe arrival of the last and final batch of 187 pilgrims on Saturday marked the conclusion of the 2026 Hajj operations. Speaking to journalists at the tarmac of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, the Amir-ul-Hajj and State Commissioner of Home Affairs, Ibrahim Layode said that the spiritual exercise was a success for Lagos State. The Commissioner who attributed the success to the exemplary conduct of the pilgrims while in the Holy Land maintained that the State also made adequate arrangements by engaging critical stakeholders ahead of the journey. A MISSISSIPPI WALMART EMPLOYEE TOOK A MAN'S LIFE DURING AN IN STORE ALTERCATION. ( PHOTO).

 A Mississippi Walmart employee took a man's life during an in store altercation. 


The Horn Lake Police Department were called to the Walmart on Goodman Road at 10:30 pm. on Sunday, September 7th.


Upon their arrival, officers found 27-year-old Ledarius Clayton suffering from a stab wound. Clayton was rushed to Baptist DeSoto hospital, where he passed away from his injuries. 


The unidentified Walmart employee was briefly detained while officers investigated the incident but was later released with authorities announcing no charges would be filed at this point.


This decision came after authorities reviewed security footage showing Clayton entering the store and approaching the employee. Clayton then began acting aggressively before launching into an attack on the employee. At this point the employee withdrew his weapon and stabbed Clayton one time before walking away.
