Akpabio not more senator than I am – Natasha

The lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has said that Senate President Godswill Akpabio is not more a senator than she is.

Natasha made this statement on Tuesday, upon her resumption of office after serving a six-month suspension.

The lawmaker was suspended by the Senate for six months following her inability to prove her sexual harassment claim against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Following her suspension, Natasha’s office was sealed all through the six months’ duration.

DAILY POST had reported earlier that the National Assembly’s Sergeant at Arms on Tuesday unsealed her office and Natasha has since resumed.

Recall that the Kogi Central Senator returned to her office on Tuesday at the National Assembly.

Addressing journalists in her office, the lawmaker said, “Akpabio is not more of a senator than I am… he treated me like I was his servant.

“In everything, it just shows that sometimes it’s good to put the institutions to test. We can’t be cowed in the face of injustice. No one is more Nigerian than us.
