  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RESCUES KIDNAPPED VICTIM SEVEN HOURS AFTER ABDUCTION: INTENSIFIES MANHUNT FOR THE SUSPECTS 


Following a swift and coordinated operation by Joint Operatives from the Anambra State Police Command Tactical Team in the early hours of today, 30th September 2025, a kidnapped victim was successfully rescued at Oba/Ojoto axis, seven hours after he was abducted by armed criminals at Umuru Village, Nnobi. The criminal elements had earlier demanded a ransom of ₦10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira) only.


Consequently, the Joint Command Tactical teams, on an intelligence-led operation were immediately deployed to the location for aggressive and extensive combing. Under the pressure of the advancing rescue operation, the kidnappers hastily released the victim and fled into nearby bushes. The victim was rescued unharmed, debriefed, and has since been reunited with his family.


Meanwhile, the Operatives are currently working on some clues for the possible arrest of the fleeing hoodlums 


The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD, commended the operatives for their swift action and reassured Anambra residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to fighting crime, protecting lives, and ensuring public safety.
