 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Atiku Abubakar's Oldest Son Conferred with Igbo Traditional Title as "Agu Di Ebube Ndi Igbo 1 of Adamawa"


According to a media post on Saturday, 20 September 2025, by the Adamawa State Commissioner for Works and Transportation, Adamu Atiku Abubakar, the eldest son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was conferred with the prestigious Igbo traditional title of Agu Di Ebube Ndi Igbo I of Adamawa State.


The honour was bestowed during a courtesy visit by the vibrant Igbo community of Adamawa to His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Government House, Yola


The gathering, described as more than a formal visit, became a celebration of unity, cultural pride, and the enduring friendship between the Igbo people and the Adamawa family.


In his remarks, Adamu Atiku expressed gratitude to the Igbo community for the recognition, pledging to use the title as a platform to strengthen the bonds between government, traditional institutions, and cultural groups across the state.


"As Agu Di Ebube Ndi Igbo I of Adamawa State, I remain deeply committed to building a state where diversity is valued, inclusiveness is practiced, and every community feels at home,”
