 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00.  BENUE:TIV COMMUNITIES IN KADARKO LAMENT DESTRUCTION OF FARMLANDS BY HERDSMEN

Tiv residents of Kadarko Ward in Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have raised alarm over the widespread destruction of their farmlands by suspected herdsmen.


A community source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, alleged that herders have unleashed their cattle on more than 100 farms in the area, devastating crops and leaving farmers traumatized.


He further disclosed that the Paramount Ruler of Kadarko had been informed about the development, but no decisive action has been taken to halt the destruction.


The source appealed to the Nasarawa State Government and relevant authorities to urgently intervene and protect the livelihoods of the affected farmers.


Communities worst hit by the invasion include Alima, Gidan Mori, Tamen, Nguchi, Akpem, and surrounding villages.
