No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. Wasting no time, the captain of the sea tow boat was able to maneuver alongside the distressed boat and begin efforts to extricate Deiter and his dog from the doomed vessel.  Eventually, the sea tow captain was able to pull both Deiter and his dog onboard the tow boat. DISNEY REPORTEDLY SHEDS 1.7 MILLION PAID SUBSCRIBERS FOLLOWING KIMMEL SUSPENSION. (PHOTO).

Disney reportedly sheds 1.7 million paid subscribers following Kimmel suspension

Reporter Marisa Kabas, founder of The Handbasket, reported on Bluesky that over 1.7 million subscribers canceled their paid Disney streaming plans between September 17 and September 23. The drop reportedly included subscriptions to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN, marking a 436 percent increase over the usual churn rate for the services. Disney has not commented on the claim.

The surge in cancellations coincided with a recent price increase for Disney’s streaming platforms, which could extend the wave of departures. Kabas’ source also suggested that Disney accelerated the return of its late-night programming to align with the planned subscription hike announcement. The cancellations followed widespread coverage of the suspension and reinstatement of Jimmy Kimmel Live, after Disney temporarily pulled the show amid controversy over remarks made about the assassination of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk. Many subscribers reportedly reacted negatively to Disney’s handling of the situation.
