 Prince William and Kate Middleton bring George, Charlotte and Louis to Commonwealth Games for first Scotland public outing Prince William and Kate Middleton brought their three children to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, marking the siblings’ first official public appearance in Scotland. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, attended the sporting event on Saturday, Aug. 1, during their summer break with Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8. While in Scotland, where William and Kate are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, the family spent time with Team Wales athletes and their families. The couple also visited SportsAid, an organisation that supports young athletes. Kate has served as patron of the organisation since 2013. The Commonwealth Games, held every four years, brings together athletes from across the Commonwealth of Nations. FATAL ELECTROCUTION: BORNO POLICE EVACUATES BODY OF SUSPECTED TRANSFORMER VANDAL, COMMENCE INVESTIGATION AT BORNO STATE UNIVERSITY


The Borno State Police Command wishes to inform the public that today, 7/9/2025, the body of an unidentified male was discovered near a transformer in Borno State University, Maiduguri. Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was electrocuted in an attempt to vandalize electrical installations.


The Command has since commenced a full investigation into the incident, while the body in collaboration with Borno State Fire Service has been evacuated to the hospital for proper medical procedures.


The Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, psc, once again warns criminal elements to desist from acts of vandalism and sabotage, as such endanger lives and compromise public safety.


The Command reassures the good people of Borno State of its commitment to protecting lives and property and urges residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements around public infrastructure to the nearest police station.
