 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  First Lady Felicitates With Muslims At Eid-El-Maulud 

 

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has called on Muslims to sustain their prayers for peace, prosperity and progress of the nation.


She made the call in a message where she  extended warm greetings to Islamic faithful across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Maulud.


She says the celebration, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a time to reflect on his exemplary life of humility, compassion, forgiveness and devotion to Allah, and a reminder for them to embody these values in their daily lives, showing love, kindness, and unity to one another.
