 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  Gunmen Assassinate Catholic Priest In Enugu


Gunmen Have Killed A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Mathew Eya, In Eha-Ndiagu Community, Eha-Alumonah, Nsukka Local Government Area Of Enugu State.


Fr. Eya, Parish Priest Of St. Charles Catholic Church, Was Shot Dead On Friday Evening While Returning From Enugu.


Sources Reported That The Attackers, Riding On A Motorcycle, Intercepted His Vehicle Near An Ongoing Type C Hospital Project. They Allegedly Fired At The Tyres, Forcing The Car To Stop, Before Shooting Multiple Times At Close Range.


While Some Accounts Linked The Incident To Possible Kidnapping, Others Suggested It Was More Likely An Assassination, As The Priest Was Alone In The Vehicle And No Abduction Occurred.


The Late Cleric Was A Native Of Ugbaike In Enugu Ezike, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area.


As Of Press Time, Both The Police And The Catholic Diocese Of Nsukka Had Not Issued An Official Statement On The Killing.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
