 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  HORROR AT NATIONAL ASSEMBLY: DECOMPOSED BODY FOUND IN A CAR

Shock and panic gripped the National Assembly complex in Abuja on Sunday after the rotting body of a 55-year-old man was discovered inside a car parked near the annex gate.


The deceased, identified as Gaddafi Iwar, a Tiv construction worker, was found slumped in a red Peugeot 406 with registration number BWR-577 BF around 9:00 a.m., his body already badly decomposed.


Security operatives and health workers rushed to the scene, moving the corpse first to the National Assembly Clinic and then to Asokoro General Hospital. But doctors reportedly refused to admit the remains due to the advanced state of decay.


In a dramatic turn, Tiv community leaders and youths ferried the body to Gbawu Village, on the AMAC–Kuje border, where he was hurriedly buried to prevent a health crisis.
