 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  I just read Mrs Rita Edochie’s plea for Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom and I feel like vomiting,Maybe she did not know what happened in the South East from 2015 to 2025- Joe Igbokwe


A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe has described as unbelievable the call for the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.


Igbokwe was particularly reacting to a post by Nollywood Actress, Rita Edochie who pleaded with the Federal Government to consider releasing the secessionist.


In a post on her Instagram page, the actress claimed that Kanu’s release will foster the restoration of peace especially in the South East


According to her, Kanu is “too unique to be in captivity”, claiming that “everything he said from begining to the very end has happened”.


However, Igbokwe in a counter post on Facebook, claimed that he “feels like vomiting” after reading the post.He wrote, 


“I just read Mrs Rita Edochie’s plea for Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom and I feel like vomiting,Maybe she did not know what happened in the South East from 2015 to 2025. This is unbelievable. Mama biko nakpuo be ji. Okwua kariri gi. Alu melu”.
