  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  I want peace – Patience Jonathan rejects return to Presidential Villa


Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, has dismissed suggestions of a return to the Presidential Villa.

Mrs Jonathan said she cannot return to the seat of power because of the distress facing Nigeria.

The Guardian quoted the former First Lady as saying that she needs peace, and therefore cannot return to the Villa.

She said: “The distress of Nigeria is so much that if God manages to bring you out of it, you should glorify Him.

“Why do you want to go back there? I need peace. My peace is enough.”

Her remarks come as pressure mounts on former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the 2027 presidential election.

Meanwhile, presidential aide Bayo Onanuga recently cautioned Jonathan against listening to those urging him to run, recalling his 2015 election defeat.

Speculation is rife that Jonathan may contest under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in 2027.

Amidst these speculations, the former president has yet to declare whether he will run or not.
