 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Ibrahim Chatta loses godson, not biological son – Opeyemi Aiyeola


Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has clarified the confusion surrounding actor Ibrahim Chatta’s recent loss.

Chatta’s initial Instagram post had led many to believe he had lost his biological son, drawing an outpouring of condolences from fans, friends, and colleagues.

However, Aiyeola explained on Instagram that the deceased was Chatta’s godson, whom he loved deeply and treated like his own child.

“Ibrahim Chatta didn’t lose his biological son but a godson, who is also like a son to him. May his pure soul continue to rest peacefully. It’s been an extremely emotional ride so far. God has mercy,” she wrote.

Chatta has since updated his post to reflect the clarification, writing, “Inna liLlahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, dear GodSon. Champ.”
