If They Ask Which Party Obi Belongs To, Say LP; If They Ask If He’s In A Coalition, Say Yes- Peter Obi

In a recent video shared by Signature TV, former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, addressed questions about his political affiliation during the Labour Party’s governorship campaign in Anambra State.

Speaking to party supporters, Obi sought to clear up confusion surrounding his role in ongoing political coalitions.

Obi explained that while he remains a member of the Labour Party, he is also part of a coalition that has adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a platform for 2027. He emphasized that other political parties are also expected to join the coalition in the near future.

“We are part of a coalition that has adopted ADC for 2027, and other parties will join us.

Today, we have members of the Labour Party...If anybody asks you which party Peter Obi belongs to, you say Labour Party. And if they ask if he is part of a coalition, you say yes.”

Obi concluded by throwing his weight behind the Labour Party candidate in the Anambra governorship race, Dr. George Moghalu, urging citizens to rally in support.
