No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. Wasting no time, the captain of the sea tow boat was able to maneuver alongside the distressed boat and begin efforts to extricate Deiter and his dog from the doomed vessel.  Eventually, the sea tow captain was able to pull both Deiter and his dog onboard the tow boat. However, once Deiter was pulled to safety, he repaid a stranger's kindness with treachery.  Deiter shoved the captain from his own boat and fled the scene in the stolen boat, leaving the man who had just risked his own vessel and life...

INDIA: A 23-YEAR-OLD MAN HAS BEEN CAUGHT POSING AS A DOCTOR AT SILCHAR MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL (SMCH). (PHOTO).

A 23-year-old man has been caught posing as a doctor at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH).

The accused, identified as Mir Hussain Ahmed Barbhuiya from Ganirgram Part II, was working as a fake gynaecologist in the hospital’s outpatient department. Officials said he had been treating patients since August 29.

SMCH principal Dr. Bhaskar Gupta told The Assam Tribune that Barbhuiya’s presence in the gynaecology department raised doubts among staff. After suspicion grew, the hospital authorities informed the police. Soon after, he was taken into custody.

Cachar Senior Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta said Barbhuiya even bought a stethoscope online to make himself look like a real doctor. He added that police are taking the matter seriously and strict action will be taken, as directed by the Chief Minister and the state DGP.

This is not the first such incident in Silchar. Just last month, another fake doctor was caught at Shiv Sundari Nari Shikshasram. The rise in such cases has worried Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who urged the public to remain alert and report anyone pretending to be a doctor.
