Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

Lagos NURTW official arrested for beating dispatch rider to death in Lagos Island. 


The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a senior member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Shamsideen Adio, for allegedly beating a dispatch rider to death on Tapa Street, Lagos Island.


According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Wednesday after a minor clash between Adio and the victim, who was accused of scratching his vehicle. The argument quickly escalated, and Adio, reportedly joined by some of his colleagues, descended heavily on the rider, beating him until he collapsed.


A journalist, Chris Nwandu, who shared a video of the incident on social media, described Adio as notorious for similar violent attacks on tricycle (Marwa) operators in the area. He alleged that just days earlier, the suspect had assaulted another operator who ended up in hospital.


A police source confirmed that the rider succumbed to the injuries sustained in the attack. “The victim died from the beating, and the suspect has since been arrested. He is currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” the source said.


The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, could not be reached for official comment as of the time of filing this report.
