 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Limpopo man arrested after allegedly pointing firearm at shop employee


A 44-year-old man has been arrested in Westenburg, Polokwane, after he allegedly pointed a firearm at a shop teller in Ladanna.


Police said the incident occurred on Thursday, September 18, when the suspect, who was a customer, threatened to shoot the employee during an argument. Officers responded quickly and found the man still at the shop.


“During the interview, the suspect admitted to pointing the teller with a firearm, which was inside his vehicle,” police spokesperson said.


Further investigations led officers to the suspect’s workshop, where additional firearms were found. A search of his farm also uncovered four rifles and ammunition.


The suspect claimed the weapons belonged to a client who had brought a vehicle for service at his workshop.


He was arrested on charges of pointing a firearm and possession of suspected unlicensed firearms and ammunition.


The man is expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, September 22.
