 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  NCPC BOSS URGES INTENDING CHRISTIAN PILGRIMS TO PRAY FOR NIGERIA AND THE LEADERSHIP PRESIDENT


The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission NCPC Bishop Stephen Adegbite has enjoined the intending Christian Pilgrims to Israel and Jordan, comprising Imo and Adamawa states to uphold President Bola Tinubu, the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima as well as the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu in prayer while in the holy land.


He made this while addressing the departing intending Christian Pilgrims at the Pilgrims Terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.


He revealed that President Bola Tinubu has been very supportive of the cause of Pilgrimage in Nigeria both Christian and Muslim Pilgrimages.


He further urged them to remember Nigeria in prayer while in the Holy Land, as the country marks its 65th anniversary of nationhood.


He emphasised that the Commission would continue to strive for zero abscondment of Pilgrims during the Pilgrimage, hence it has put every mechanism in place to checkmate it.


The third batch of intending Christian Pilgrims landed safely at the Queen Alia International Airport, Amman, Jordan, to begin their 10-day Pilgrimage program in Jordan and Israel.
