The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Nigerian Army Debunks False Recruitment Claims, Warns Against Fraudsters


The Nigerian Army has refuted social media reports claiming it is recruiting applicants for the 90th Regular Intake, labeling the advertisements as false and misleading. In a statement issued on Saturday by Captain AU Hammanga, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations Directorate of Recruitment, the Army urged the public to disregard the viral recruitment notices entirely.


Captain Hammanga emphasized that the Nigerian Army has not announced any ongoing recruitment and advised applicants to await official announcements through verified channels. “The Nigerian Army maintains a clean and clear website for all recruitment-related information,” the statement read, urging prospective applicants to rely only on credible sources to avoid falling victim to scams.


The Army also issued a stern warning to fraudsters exploiting the fake recruitment advertisements, stating they should desist or face consequences. “We remain committed to transparency and professionalism in all recruitment processes,” the statement added, cautioning the public against engaging with deceitful individuals or groups posing as recruitment agents.


The Nigerian Army reiterated its dedication to maintaining integrity in its recruitment processes and encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities related to fraudulent recruitment schemes.
