NIGERIAN CYCLIST RESUMES TRANSCONTINENTAL RIDE, HEADS FOR SIERRA LEONE

8th September, 2025

A Nigerian cyclist on a bold mission to pedal from Nigeria to the United States has resumed his journey, departing Monrovia, Liberia, after a short stopover.

Now on Day 70 of the expedition tagged #NIG2USA, the rider said his mission goes beyond adventure, stressing it is aimed at raising support for orphans, vulnerable children, and internally displaced persons.

He expressed gratitude to Liberians for their generosity and hospitality, noting that the open doors, meals, and encouragement he received in Monrovia made the city feel like home.

“Before I began this journey, I knew the roads would be rough, the path tough, and there would be nights I’d cry in silence. Yet, with faith, courage, and the love of people like you, this dream keeps moving,” he wrote.

As he heads for Sierra Leone, he urged Africans to stand together in unity and resilience, calling for continued prayers and support through his GoFundMe page.

“The journey continues. Carry me in your prayers, walk with me in spirit, and let’s keep proving to the world that Africans can rise together,” he added.
