 ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTED PRODUCERS OF ADULTERATED ALCOHOLIC DRINKS, RECOVERS COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to the Rapid Response Squad/VCRU have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the production and distribution of adulterated alcoholic beverages in the State. The suspects, identified as Ikechukwu Okeke 42 years old and Okeke Chukwuemeka 38 years old were arrested in the early hours of today 15th June 2026,  following credible intelligence received by the Police. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of a syndicate specializing in the adulteration and counterfeiting of various alcoholic beverages. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to the crime and subsequently led operatives to their mini-factory.  Nigerian National Arrested for Drug Dealing in Polokwane


Polokwane police have arrested a 37-year-old Nigerian national for dealing and possession of drugs worth an estimated R40 000. The arrest took place on Friday, 12 September 2025, at around 10:30.


According to police, the team acted on intelligence about a man allegedly selling illicit substances along Paul Kruger Street. The suspect was approached and searched, leading to the discovery of Crystal Meth, Heroin, and Rock drugs, all packaged in transparent plastic bags.


The drugs, with a combined street value of approximately R40 000, were confiscated, and the suspect was taken into custody.


He is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 15 September 2025, facing charges of dealing and possession of drugs.
