 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  REQUEST TO TRANSFER NNAMDI KANU TO NATIONAL HOSPITAL, ABUJA REJECTED IN COURT

Justice Omotosho has denied the application of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's deteriorating health.


He has ordered the President of National Medical Association to constitute an investigation committee who will examine Nnamdi Kanu's health condition, as against his transfer to National Hospital Abuja.

INITIAL REPORT:

Proceedings Have Officially Commenced Before Justice James Omotosho. The Court Is Expected To Deliver A Ruling On Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Pending Application Concerning His Health Condition.


Leading The Defense Is Senior Advocate Of Nigeria, Onyinyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), Who Makes Oral Submissions On Behalf Of Kanu.


Since Writing Is Not Allowed While The Court Is In Session, Updates Remain Limited At The Moment. However, Justice Omotosho Is Expected To Rule Within The Next 10 Minutes On Two Crucial Issues:


1. The No-Case Submission.


2. The Request To Transfer Mazi Nnamdi Kanu To A Hospital For Urgent Medical Care.
