 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  Russia-Congo ties: Putin praises 'reliable, time-tested friend'


Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday described the Republic of Congo as a “reliable, time-tested friend and partner” during a meeting with Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso in Beijing.


“Working together with Congo is one of the priorities of our foreign policy activities in Africa,” Putin said, highlighting Moscow’s interest in strengthening ties, AFP reported.


The Russian leader also pledged to expand educational opportunities for Congolese citizens.


“Students and young people from your country continue their professional training in Russia, and we are ready not only to maintain this level, but also to increase the number of Congolese who want to receive an education in the Russian Federation,” he added.


Putin wrapped up a four-day visit to China, where he attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, joined commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, and held several bilateral meetings with world leaders.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
