  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs). A statement issued by the Media and Publicity Directorate noted that the move also fulfills the Honourable Member’s campaign pledge to integrate every segment of the constituency into the decision-making and governance structure.  Gauteng taxi boss gunned down on Soweto Highway


A well-known Gauteng taxi association leader, Thani Moyo, has been shot dead in a brazen attack on the Soweto Highway.


Moyo was travelling in his vehicle on Wednesday afternoon when unknown gunmen opened fire, fatally wounding him. He died on the scene before emergency services could arrive.


Police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed the incident, saying the motive for the shooting is not yet known but investigations are underway.


“Police have opened a case of murder following the shooting of a 47-year-old man who was travelling along the Soweto Highway. At this stage, the suspects are unknown, and the motive cannot be confirmed. We are appealing to anyone with information to come forward,” Masondo said.


The killing has sent shockwaves through the taxi industry, which has been plagued by violent power struggles over routes and leadership positions.


Moyo was a prominent figure in Gauteng’s taxi sector, often mediating disputes between rival operators. His death is expected to heighten tensions in the already volatile industry.


Police said a manhunt has been launched for the suspects.
