 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Seshego Security Officer Stabbed to Death on Duty


A 36 year-old security officer was fatally stabbed while on duty at a fast-food outlet in Sengatane Village, Seshego, on Saturday morning.


Police say the officer was working when he got into an argument with a male customer. The suspect allegedly pulled out a sharp object and stabbed him before fleeing the scene.


The officer was rushed to a local hospital and later transferred to the Provincial Hospital, but sadly died from his injuries around 14:30.


The suspect, who remains at large, was reportedly driving a white Toyota Avanza without registration plates. The vehicle had a black sticker on the bonnet with the word “London” on it.


Limpopo’s Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, condemned the attack, saying: This is a senseless act of violence. We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the suspect is traced and brought to justice. Attacks on law enforcement officers will not be tolerated.”


Police have since launched a manhunt to apprehend the suspect.
