Selena Gomez has tied the knot with music producer and songwriter Benny Blanco, sharing the news in an Instagram post featuring the couple kissing and embracing on a lawn.
Gomez, 33, wore a white halter bridal gown adorned with floral details, while Blanco, 37, donned a custom Ralph Lauren tuxedo and bow tie. “My wife in real life,” Blanco wrote in response to Gomez’s post on Saturday. Preparations for the celebration, including a large outdoor tent, were spotted in the Santa Barbara area prior to the announcement.
Friends, colleagues, and brands quickly offered congratulations. The “Only Murders in the Building” Instagram account posted, “Our Mabel is MARRIED,” while Gomez’s Rare Beauty cosmetics line shared, “so happy for you two.” Celebrities such as Camila Cabello and Amy Schumer also sent their well-wishes.
Blanco and Gomez, who met around a decade ago, became engaged late last year. They previously collaborated on the 2019 track “I Can’t Get Enough,” which also featured J Balvin and Tainy. Blanco has produced and written hits including Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” Britney Spears’ “Circus,” and Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger.”
Gomez, known for hits like “Calm Down,” “Good for You,” “Same Old Love,” and “Come & Get It,” rose to fame as a child actor on “Barney and Friends” before becoming a Disney Channel star on “Wizards of Waverly Place.” She has earned award nominations for her role alongside Martin Short and Steve Martin in Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” and boasts 417 million Instagram followers, the most of any woman on the platform.
