 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Tragedy in Bauchi: Widow Found Dead on Her Farm


A tragic incident has thrown the Kafin Tafawa community on the outskirts of Bauchi metropolis into mourning, following the gruesome murder of a widow, Salomi Benjamin.


Her lifeless body was discovered on her farm, about two kilometers from her residence.


According to her third son, Simeon, Mama Salomi left home for her farm around 8 a.m. but never returned.


Concerned about her whereabout, the family began a search, only to find her dead in the evening, lying lifeless in her farm.


"This time, it is not about a clash between farmers and herders," the source clarified.


Alex Markus, a neighbor to the deceased, described the killing as both tragic and senseless. He praised the prompt response of the Yelwa Divisional Police Officer but urged authorities to intensify efforts in uncovering those behind the heinous act.


At the time of filing this report, the Bauchi State Police Command had not officially commented on the incident, despite efforts to reach them.
