 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Utah governor says alleged Kirk shooter is not cooperating with investigators

Gov. Spencer Cox, R-Utah, said Sunday that the suspect in the shooting that killed conservative activist Charlie Kirk is refusing to cooperate with authorities.

“He has not confessed to authorities and is not cooperating, but everyone around him is cooperating, and I think that’s very important,” Cox said, noting the assistance of those close to the suspect. Authorities have identified the alleged shooter as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who remains in custody. Charges are expected to be formally filed on Tuesday.

Cox also confirmed that the suspect’s roommate, previously identified as a boyfriend, is transitioning from male to female and is cooperating with investigators. Officials have not yet determined a motive in the killing.

The governor had previously described Robinson as “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,” but said Sunday that this characterization comes from acquaintances and family members, and investigators have not independently verified it. Cox said additional details are expected in the coming days and urged Americans to respond with kindness during a time of heightened political tension. “These are very tragic circumstances that impact all of us,” he said.
