 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  12 Feared Dead in Kenya Plane Crash


A small plane carrying 12 people crashed in a hilly, forested area of Kenya's coastal Kwale region killing all onboard


The aircraft was headed to the renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve.


The Cessna Caravan-type plane went down about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Diani airstrip, minutes after takeoff, bursting into flames and leaving charred wreckage, authorities reported.


Kwale County Commissioner Stephen Orinde told The Associated Press that all passengers were foreign tourists, with nationalities to be confirmed later. 


The exact breakdown of passengers and crew was not immediately available.


Witnesses described hearing a loud bang before arriving at the scene to find unrecognizable human remains.


The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority confirmed 12 people were aboard and is investigating the cause.


 Mombasa Air Safari, the operator, said it is cooperating with authorities and will provide updates through the aviation body.
