ACTRESS, LAIDE BAKARE CLARIFIES CLAIMS THAT SHE INTRODUCED TEENAGE DAUGHTER TO ALCOHOL AT NIGHT CLUB. (PHOTO).



Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare has said the impression that she took her 17-year-old daughter, Similoluwa, to a night club to introduce her to alcohol is not correct. She made this known on Saturday via a post she shared on her Instagram page while setting the record straight.


Bakare during a recent interview with content creator Mr Lil Gaga, revealed that she took the teenager to a club for the first time after her birthday and allowed her to taste alcohol.


She said: “I took my daughter to the club for the first time at 17. And I like the fact that in her memoir, she would reference me as the person who introduced her to alcohol and clubbing.”


However, after the interview surfaced on social media, it elicited mixed reactions as many Nigerians accused the actress of promoting irresponsible parenting.


Although a few netizens reasoned with her, most of them argued that she is reinforcing negative stereotypes about single mothers.

Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, has revealed that she introduced her daughter to clubbing and alcohol at the age of 17.

She disclosed this in a recent interview with content creator, Mr Lilgaga.

The movie star said she likes the fact that her daughter would reference her as the person who introduced her to nightlife and alcohol.

“I took my daughter to the club for the first time at 17. And I like the fact that in her memoir, she would reference me as the person who introduced her to alcohol and clubbing,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Bakare’s revelation has elicited mixed reactions, with many berating her for introducing her daughter to alcohol and nightlife as a minor.
