Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.  Anambra Was The Only State That Never Had A Government House, A Governor’s Lodge, For 34 Years, but today, we have not just built a lodge but a mini city - Gov Chukwuma Soludo

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has highlighted one of the major infrastructural achievements of his administration, stating that for over three decades, the state lacked an official seat of government.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Idemili North, the governor said his administration broke a 34-year-old jinx by constructing a befitting Government House and Governor’s Lodge in Awka, the state capital.

In his words, “Anambra was the only state that never had a government house, a governor’s lodge, for 34 years,” Soludo declared, describing the development as a turning point in the state’s history.

According to him, the absence of such essential government infrastructure since Anambra’s creation had long been a source of embarrassment and logistical difficulty for past administrations. He noted that his government was determined to change that narrative and give the state a proper seat of power worthy of its status

“Today, we have not just built a lodge but a mini city — a modern seat of government that symbolizes the dignity of Anambra State It is part of our broader vision to reposition the state for growth, good governance, and global competitiveness.”

Governor Soludo also used the opportunity to list other accomplishments of his administration, including improvements in education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and security.

He noted that under his watch, public schools have regained national recognition, thousands of young people have been trained under the One Youth, Two Skills program, and health centers across 326 wards are now fully operational.

He reiterated that his administration’s development agenda is focused on laying lasting foundations for a prosperous and self-sustaining Anambra.

“Our goal is not just to build infrastructure but to build people, institutions, and systems that will stand the test of time,”

The governor urged the people to sustain their support for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and vote massively in the November 8, 2025 governorship election to “keep Anambra rising.”
