 MISSING CHILDREN SAFELY RETURNED TO WANNUNE AFTER ABDUCTION ATTEMPT Relief and jubilation swept through the IF Academy settlement in Wannune, Tarka LGA of Benue State, as children who went missing last October have been safely reunited with their families.   According to Timothy Chusa, who reported the incident to Benue Info-pedia, the children were taken by a Tiv girl to Nasarawa State, where she resides. Community members revealed that the suspect had allegedly planned to sell the children. However, before the plan could be executed, information reached Wannune, prompting swift intervention.   Faced with mounting pressure, the suspect was compelled to return the children unharmed.  Ayamelum Residents Lament Years of Neglect Over Dilapidated Road


Residents of Ayamelum Local Government Area have cried out over the deplorable condition of the only major road linking their communities to Anambra East, describing it as a clear sign of government neglect.


According to them, the road has remained one of the worst in Anambra East, yet it serves as the only lifeline to Ayamelum. The people say the situation has made transportation of goods, especially farm produce, extremely difficult, causing economic hardship and isolating many villages during the rainy season.


“We are tired of empty promises,” one resident lamented. “This road tells our story — a story of neglect and suffering. Each year, we hear about development funds, but Ayamelum is always forgotten.”


They also questioned the state government over the recently publicized Common Service Fund, wondering why their area continues to be excluded.


The people of Ayamelum are calling on the Anambra State Government to urgently rehabilitate the road, noting that Ayamelum deserves the same attention and development given to other parts of the state.
