Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial.  Ayamelum Residents Lament Years of Neglect Over Dilapidated Road

Residents of Ayamelum Local Government Area have cried out over the deplorable condition of the only major road linking their communities to Anambra East, describing it as a clear sign of government neglect.

According to them, the road has remained one of the worst in Anambra East, yet it serves as the only lifeline to Ayamelum. The people say the situation has made transportation of goods, especially farm produce, extremely difficult, causing economic hardship and isolating many villages during the rainy season.

“We are tired of empty promises,” one resident lamented. “This road tells our story — a story of neglect and suffering. Each year, we hear about development funds, but Ayamelum is always forgotten.”

They also questioned the state government over the recently publicized Common Service Fund, wondering why their area continues to be excluded.

The people of Ayamelum are calling on the Anambra State Government to urgently rehabilitate the road, noting that Ayamelum deserves the same attention and development given to other parts of the state.
