 Lagos hotel, 3 other properties forfeited by drug kingpins auctioned at N6.1billion *- It’s a clear message that cartels won’t be allowed to enjoy proceeds of their criminal trade, says Marwa*  A Lagos hotel and three other properties seized from drug kingpins by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and forfeited to the Federal Government through court processes have been auctioned for the sum of Six Billion One Hundred and Forty- Eight Million Nine Hundred and Sixty-Four Thousand Naira (N6,148,964,000.00) only. This was the outcome of a competitive bid process for the sale of eight assets forfeited by drug barons in parts of the country. While bidders who offered above reserved prices emerged winners of four of the listed properties, bids for four others failed because none offered up to the reserved prices.  FIDA SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH WAPA AHEAD OF ANNUAL GENERAL CONFERENCE 


The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Lagos Branch, led by its Chairperson, Barrister Mrs. Abimbola Oladigba-Jack has paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) to seek collaboration and support ahead of the Association’s forthcoming Annual General Conference (AGC).


During the visit, which took place at the Ministry’s Conference Room in Alausa, Ikeja, Mrs. Oladigba-Jack highlighted FIDA’s numerous humanitarian and advocacy initiatives, including legal assistance to vulnerable groups, community outreach programmes, and free law mobile clinics designed to promote access to justice for women and children.


In her response, the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. (Mrs.) Bolaji Cecilia Dada commended FIDA Lagos for its unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and the protection of women’s rights. She expressed the Ministry’s readiness to partner with the Association, noting that the forthcoming three-day Annual General Conference, which will feature a health walk, conference sessions, and a dinner, aligns perfectly with WAPA’s mandate to promote women’s empowerment and inclusion.


Hon. Dada, who is also expected to deliver the keynote address at the conference, assured FIDA of her full support towards the success of the event.


Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Rianat Ajibike Onigbanjo pledged the Ministry’s commitment to collaborating with FIDA Lagos, particularly in initiatives that advance women’s rights and access to justice across the state.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
