 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  John Cena confirms WWE retirement and final match date despite speculation

John Cena has confirmed that he is retiring from WWE, dismissing any speculation or rumors to the contrary.

The Peacemaker star has set his final match for December 13, 2025, and emphasized that the date will not change.

“Despite any speculation or rumors, on July 6, 2024, I announced I would retire from WWE in-ring participation. I am far from perfect but strive to be a person whose word has value,” Cena wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “12/13/25 will be my final match. I am beyond grateful for every moment WWE has given me. I am excited for 12/13 & look forward to seeing all of you one last time.”

Cena first announced his retirement during a surprise appearance at the Money in the Bank event in Canada on July 6, 2024. “Why am I here? Tonight, I officially announce my retirement from the WWE,” he said at the time.

He later added, “Thank you so much for letting me play in the house that you built for so many years. Thank you so much always for your voice, because it’s really loud, and your honesty, because it’s beautifully brutal. And most of all, thank you so much for allowing me to be with you here tonight to let the whole world know that we are planning something unforgettable, which also involves me returning to Toronto to kick some ass!”

After a year of participating in WWE events, Cena confirmed that his final appearance will be at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
