 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Lagos High Court Re-Arraigns Convicted Kidnapper Evans for Murder of Police Officers


The Lagos State Government on Monday re-arraigned notorious billionaire kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, widely known as Evans, before the Lagos High Court in Ikeja. Evans, alongside his co-defendant Joseph Emeka, faces a five-count charge including murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.


The case, presided over by Justice A. O. Ogala, centers on the alleged murder of two police officers. Both defendants pleaded not guilty to all charges during the court session.


The trial has drawn significant attention due to Evans' high-profile criminal history, with further proceedings expected to unfold in the coming weeks.
