 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration. Lauren Graham receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame 


Lauren Graham, known for her roles on Gilmore Girls and Parenthood, was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday. The ceremony was attended by Mae Whitman, Amy Sherman-Palladino, Jennifer Finnigan, and Channing Dungey.

Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame, said in a statement, “The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Lauren Graham to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her charm, wit, and talent have made her an icon for audiences worldwide, and her role on Gilmore Girls has left an indelible mark on television history. We are proud to celebrate her incredible contributions to the entertainment industry.” Graham, 58, is set to appear next in the film Reminders of Him.
