 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  NERC RELEASES 28 BILLION NAIRA TO DISCOs FOR METERING BAND "A & B" FREE


The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission NERC has approved the release of twenty eight billion naira from the Meter acquisition fund to Electricity Distribution Companies to Meter all outstanding unmetered band 'A' and 'B' customers 


The funds will be allocated in proportion to the respective contributions of the distribution companies under tranche B of the intervention 


In an order released by NERC, all the Meters to be procured and installed under the Meter acquisition fund framework shall be provided free to band 'A'  and 'B' tariff customers 


NERC directs all distribution companies to complete the installation of the Meters under the tranche B of the Meter acquisition fund by 31 December 2025


The intervention under the Meter acquisition fund is part of the commission's deliberate efforts to close the metering gap in the country and it will run concurrently with other interventions including presidential metering initiative
