  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  NERC RELEASES 28 BILLION NAIRA TO DISCOs FOR METERING BAND "A & B" FREE


The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission NERC has approved the release of twenty eight billion naira from the Meter acquisition fund to Electricity Distribution Companies to Meter all outstanding unmetered band 'A' and 'B' customers 


The funds will be allocated in proportion to the respective contributions of the distribution companies under tranche B of the intervention 


In an order released by NERC, all the Meters to be procured and installed under the Meter acquisition fund framework shall be provided free to band 'A'  and 'B' tariff customers 


NERC directs all distribution companies to complete the installation of the Meters under the tranche B of the Meter acquisition fund by 31 December 2025


The intervention under the Meter acquisition fund is part of the commission's deliberate efforts to close the metering gap in the country and it will run concurrently with other interventions including presidential metering initiative
