 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES NIDCOM CHAIRMAN/CEO, ABIKE DABIRI-EREWA ON HER BIRTHDAY


President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), on her birthday.

 

In a statement by Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President, Information & Strategy, "the President rejoices with the devoted public servant, who started her career as a broadcaster with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and was elected member of the House of Representatives in 2003, 2007 and 2011.

 

Mrs Dabiri-Erewa was chairman of the House Committee on Media & Publicity and chaired the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs.

 

President Tinubu affirms that the Chairperson of NIDCOM has demonstrated love for the country and humanity, over many years by consistently placing the welfare and well-being of the underprivileged at the centre of her work.

 

It adds, "The President notes the passion, diligence, and foresight that Dabiri-Erewa brings to her work as a journalist, lawmaker, and chief executive of NIDCOM, particularly her historic roles in pursuing social justice for Nigerians at home and abroad.

 

President Tinubu acknowledges the patriotic roles of Dabiri-Erewa in attracting Diaspora talents to contribute to the country's development, particularly in education, health, and sports, affirming that her awards and recognition over the years were well deserved. It concludes.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
