 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Qatar And Nigeria Set to Sign MOU on Cultural and Tourism Cooperation


The Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy resumed talks with the Qatari government, on Monday, to boost cultural exchange, arts, and tourism relations between the two countries. 


The Minister, Hannatu Musa Musawa, who held a meeting with Dr Ali Ghamen Al-Hajri, the  Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria in Abuja, highlighted Nigeria's rich cultural heritage and potential partnerships with Qatar to promote mutual understanding and growth. 


She emphasised Nigeria's diverse cultural history, showcasing its music, movie industry, and arts, and expressed interest in collaborating with Qatar to preserve and display Nigerian artefacts.


The ambassador highlighted Qatar's commitment to promoting art and cultural projects, emphasising its role in diplomacy and bridging nations. He also noted  that both countries have significantly strengthened their economic ties in recent years through diplomatic engagement,  to advance bilateral cooperation across several sectors including aviation, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, and agriculture.


The possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalise the partnership was discussed, with both parties expressing enthusiasm for the potential benefits of the collaboration.
