Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011.  Police Officer Testifies About Attempts to Influence Investigators Through Lavish Parties

Mkhwanazi recently told the Ad Hoc Committee that a police officer was invited to a party where he was promised a “soft life” if he agreed to work with certain individuals. According to Mkhwanazi, the officer was shocked to find senior police officials and some individuals who are currently under investigation at the event.

At the Madlanga Commission, a witness identified as Witness A, an investigating officer, gave a similar account. He testified that he was invited to a party at 12 on Hillel Villa & Spa by a man named Ndlala, through a colleague. When he arrived, he was surprised to find Major-General Shibiri among the guests.

Witness A said another party was later organised, which he did not attend, but his colleague did. The colleague later informed him that Major-General Shibiri, Gauteng Provincial Commissioner General Mthombeni, and Brigadier Nkwashu were also present.

According to Witness A, these invitations appeared to be attempts to influence him and his colleague to serve the interests of criminal cartels operating within law enforcement circles.
