 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  Two Women Get Justice Through Anambra Ministry of Women Affairs


Mrs. Ogochukwu Onyema and Mrs. Nneka Jennifer, through the Ministry of Women Affairs, Anambra State, has expressed their profound appreciation to the government of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for his continued support in the fight against gender-based violence.


Mrs. Ogochukwu, who had been deprived of her late father’s property, successfully reclaimed her inheritance with the intervention of the Ministry and the support of the Governor.


Similarly, Mrs. Nneka Jennifer, who had been denied access to her children following a domestic dispute with her husband, also received justice after her case was presented in court. Despite not being an indigene of Anambra State, Mrs. Nneka was granted fair hearing and justice through the efforts of the Soludo-led administration.


The Ministry of Women Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to fighting all forms of gender-based violence in the state. It also called on women facing similar challenges to report their cases, assuring them of fair and amicable handling.
