 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Walking Dead props and costumes set for auction


Fans of The Walking Dead will have a chance to own pieces of the zombie apocalypse as props, costumes, and collectibles go up for auction from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 through Heritage Auctions.

Highlights include Daryl Dixon’s dirt bike and the animatronic body of a Walker King, along with more than 1,000 other items spanning weapons, clothing, and set pieces used throughout the series. Bidding is already open on the Heritage Auctions website. Heritage Auctions executive Joe Maddalena called the sale “one of the most thrilling,” emphasizing that these items are more than just props—they are “touchstones of a show that redefined modern television.” The original series ran for 11 seasons and spawned spinoffs such as Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
