Former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has urged residents of Zamfara State to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as part of efforts to tackle the state’s growing security and economic challenges.
Speaking to ADC supporters in Gusau on Sunday, El-Rufai said the party has developed strategies aimed at improving security, revitalizing the economy, and boosting food production across Zamfara.
He called on party members to remain united, avoid internal divisions, and work closely with youth and women’s groups to spread awareness of ADC’s goals at the grassroots level. El-Rufai also encouraged eligible voters to ensure they obtain their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC Deputy National Organising Secretary, Abubakar Atiku, noted that El-Rufai’s visit would help strengthen the party’s internal cohesion and promote cooperation among members in Zamfara.
In his remarks, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, the Zamfara State ADC Chairman, highlighted that the event attracted participants from all 14 local government areas, including youths and women, reflecting the party’s growing influence and membership base.
The gathering also drew local politicians, Islamic clerics, and community leaders from across the state.
